About Sameekshya-2022 :
The Annual Review Meeting – “Sameekshya-2021-22” of Jharsuguda Forest Division was organized at Hotel Micro Continental, Beheramal, Jharsuguda under Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project-II (OFSDP-II) on 03rd March, 2022. The Annual review meeting was organized to review the progress of the implementation activities and share the success story & best practices in DMU, Jharsuguda Forest Division under OFSDP-II.
Shri O.P Singh, IFS, Addl. PCCF Odisha and Shri Chittaranjan Mishra, IFS, RCCF, Sambalpur were attended as the Chief Guest & Guest of Honour.
Shri O.P Singh, IFS, Addl. PCCF Odisha & Shri Chittaranjan Mishra, IFS, RCCF, Sambalpur inaugurated the Annual Review Meeting – “Sameekshya-2021-22” by lighting the ceremonial lamp accompanied with Shri Chittaranjan Mishra, IFS RCCF, Sambalpur ,Shri Lalit Kumar Patra, IFS, DFO cum DMU Chief, Jharsuguda Forest Division, Miss. Sushri Sasmita Sahoo, OFS (I), ACF cum ADMU Chief, Jharsuguda Forest Division.
District level line department Officials from CDMO, Watershed, Veterinary, RSETI, Education, ORMAS and Forest Department staffs, Project staffs, PNGO team members, VSS Members including SHG members attended the Sammekshya meeting and District Level Officials briefed about the beneficial schemes and new initiatives of the Govt. for implementation of convergence activities and livelihood improvement to increase the income sources of the community.
The Annual Report Sameekshya-2021-22 of DMU, Jharsuguda Forest Division was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Guests and FMU wise best Performing VSS, best Male & Female Animator and best Office bearers were awarded by the Guests as a recognition of good work to their best performance. SHG stalls were arranged to exhibit the produces under NTFP, Agri based farming and Micro Level Income Generating Activities by the WSHGs from Bagdihi, Belpahar & Kolabira FMUs.Photo gallery was displayed basing on constitution of VSS, Survey & Demarcation of assigned area, Animator selection, Micro plan preparation, Nursery work, SMC work, Plantation, Fire line Construction, Farm Forestry, VSS building, EC Meeting, DAC Meeting, PNGO coordination cell Meeting, BLAC Meeting, Micro level IGA training & Activities, Convergence work and livelihood support activities etc.
Shri Lalit Kumar Patra, IFS, DFO cum DMU Chief, Jharsuguda Forest Division welcomed all the Guests and participants present in the meeting and briefed the aim & objective of the Annual Review meeting “Sameekshya 2021-22”. He Gave an overview of the project component under OFSDP-II and shared component wise progress made by FMUs and DMU in the FY 2021-22. He appreciated the line department’s convergence activities that have been implemented in the VSS areas and he expect more from the line departments that their beneficial schemes to reach VSSs community through convergence activities.
Shri Chittaranjan Mishra, RCCF, Sambalpur in his inaugural speech focused on community involvement in each and every activity that are implementing in the VSSs i.e Preparation of Micro Plan, Survey & Demarcation, treatment area selection etc. Comprehensive development works are being carried out in coordination with line departments to solve the identified issues written in the Micro plan. The VSS members should review the plan vs achievement for comprehensive development of the VSSs as well as Forest and accordingly action plan will be prepared to achieve the target within the time frame. He advised to the VSSs that all the activities, budget allocation and expenditure should be written in the VSS Transparence board. The VSSs have key role to protect the forest and livelihood improvement of the community without intra conflict.
Miss Sushri Sasmita Sahoo, ACF cum ADMU Chief, Jharsuguda Forest Division summarised the views of the participants. She appreciated the participants for actively involvement of the project activities & expect from all the participants to achieve our goal with work together.
